Goal: keep every patient plan on your own price list.
In the pricing wizard's Treatment Items step, each line has an Edit price link for typing a custom price. Whether a role gets that link is a permission you set per role.
Steps:
- Go to Settings → Team → Role Permissions and pick the role.
- Open Cases and switch Edit prices by hand (Edit price) on or off.
- The change applies straight away to everyone with that role.
It is on by default for every role that prices, except dentists. Clinic admins always keep it.
When it's off
- The pricing wizard hides Edit price. Pricers choose a brand, and its price comes from your price list (Treatment Setup → Treatments → Pricing, and your bundles).
- The server checks it too: a price that isn't on the list for the plan's currency is refused with "You can't change prices by hand…". A price already saved on a line is still accepted, so re-opening an older plan doesn't break it.
- It applies to the plans patients receive. Discounts are separate — to limit those, use discount approvals.
