What a case is
A case is the clinical side of a lead: photos, X-rays, medical history, and the dentist's tooth-by-tooth diagnosis. Create one from the lead's detail page once the patient shares their records.
The case pool
New cases wait in Cases → Case Pool until a dentist picks them up. The dashboard shows how many are waiting and for how long.
Diagnosing on the tooth chart
Open a pool case and you'll see the interactive chart (upper + lower jaw):
- Tap teeth to select them — works on desktop and mobile (pinch/pan on phones).
- Pick a treatment for the selection (implant, crown, veneer, …) and add notes.
- Repeat per treatment group. Multi-visit cases: assign items to Visit 1 or Visit 2.
- Save — the case moves to Diagnosed and is ready for pricing.
FDI vs Universal numbering
The chart displays whichever system your clinic uses (Settings → Treatments). Data is stored in FDI internally, so switching display systems never corrupts existing diagnoses.
Reverting
Sent a case to Diagnosed too early? Open it and use Return to pool — diagnosis stays editable again.
The visit planner
International patients rarely finish in one trip. Set how many visits the patient will make at the top of the chart — each visit gets its own chart tab, and every treatment you add belongs to the visit you have selected. Implant cases typically use two visits (placement, then crowns after healing).
Treatment or bundle?
Below the chart you choose what to add:
- Treatment — a single procedure (an implant, a crown, a filling). Select the teeth first, then the treatment, then Add to Visit.
- Bundle — a package like All-on-4 or Hollywood Smile. Bundles know which teeth they cover and select them automatically; they price as a package in the wizard.
Treatments that don't attach to specific teeth (whitening, night guard) ask for a quantity instead of a tooth selection.
The plan summary
Everything you add appears in the Plan Summary, grouped by visit, with per-item edit and delete plus Undo (also Ctrl+Z). This list — items, teeth, visits — is exactly what the pricing wizard will price.
Save Draft vs Complete Diagnosis
- Save Draft keeps the case in the Pool with your work preserved — come back anytime.
- Complete Diagnosis locks the clinical plan and moves the case to Diagnosed, handing it to sales for pricing. Need to change it later? Return to pool re-opens editing.
